hi,
yeah, forgot to mention.
yesterday I was at home until 11:30am (because I'd been doing network
maintainance 'til midnight the day before - before ya'll call me lazy! ;-))
anyway, I was just sorting out my breakfast when my girlfriend rang me to
tell me to quickly switch on BBC1. of course, i thought it was some big
newstory...in a panic i switched on. but it was just "City Hospital"
(a show that focusses on people having things done in hospital - pretty
lightweight daytime TV) "oh! I thought...is the doctor/nurse/patient
someone i know? nope. none of the above. the boyfriend/husband of a woman
who was soon to be having a baby was sat there in a seat beside the bed and
he was wearing a white t-shirt with "Amiga" all across the front and a boing
ball. so quite a recent shirt.
i wonder if it was made up just for the TV appearance? quite a neat 10 quid
investment if it was!
So, who was that man? Does he frequent this list? or does anyone on this
list know? I think the hospital was southampton general. do we have any more
clues about this? Why is this starting to sound like crimewatch? 8-)
and, it made me think. If you know you're going to be in a media picture,
how about wearing an Amiga T-Shirt? Or if you're just doing soem casual
shopping on a saturday/sunday? How about it? If we all start doign this,
then people are going to see...and notice.
